Under the direction of the ESC Manager, and with the support of the Job Developer, the Industry and Community Relationship Liaison (ICRL) promotes the use of employment centres in the communities of Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton and other locations as required. The ICRL also forges and leverages linkages with employers and community organizations to maximize their contribution toward employment and community attachments for jobseekers.

Some of the duties include: - Understands the program outcomes and objectives; - Creates and implements the Community and Employer Partnership Plan(CEP) for Squamish and Whistler, under the direction of Program Manager(s), with the goal of ensuring a sufficient client flow (including targeted / specialized population groups) into the Centres in order to meet our program performance goals and KPMs - Monitors client numbers, and marketing statistics to evaluate the success of the CEP, and regularly collaborates on promotional strategies to ensure appropriate client and employer engagement in WorkBC services - Promotes the ESC to existing clients and identifies and solicits potential organizations, resources, and employers; - Assesses organizations, resources, and employer needs and develops plans and recommendations within the program limitations to meet the needs of employers and community organizations; - Utilizes and maintains software to track, monitor and grow community relationships - Acts as the primary cooperative marketing lead; The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in the following areas; knowledge of the labour market and employer/community needs, organizational skills, verbal and written communication, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This is a part-time, temporary position (M-F 30 hours/wk) to cover a maternity leave.
